Bubblegum arrived

Bubblegum (yeah, I frigging named my new ThinkPad BUBBLEGUM) arrived this morning so I spent the afternoon sprucing her up. She's super cute and way fat, I installed openSUSE on a partition in the hard drive so I still have my Win 7. Maybe one day if I can afford an SSD drive I will fix her up a little more.

I can't wait to use her. But right now as it stands, I'm still in the process of installing Kate Editor (it's been compiling for 5 minutes... blerghfergh) and haven't even installed Eclipse. And then I'd have to reinstall a lot of stuff. :(

The problem with using a Linux distro is that I have to look out for updates myself... Man, I hope I remember. Lol, I hate computers, they're so annoying and I know nothing about them (have you read help forums, I just die).

Well, it's time for my midnight shower.

i am stumbling 2013

A continuation of last year's summer.

A brief summary of what's happened between these two summers - how I've changed:
  • I've achieved integration with my CS life, and I don't hang out as much with CSP friends, or other good friends of mine. But that's natural. It doesn't mean we don't value each other.
  • I finally understand the art of studying and I'm proud of how everything turned out academically. Except chemistry/biology. I will never take a life sci course again.
  • I'm okay with backgrounding my manga project significantly, intentionally, because it is a distracting cost.
  • I found some ways to cope with my (now identified) anxiety problems (I'm no DP though).
  • It's a need of mine to talk to a spectrum of people to balance my identity out.
  • After years of struggle, I left someone important to me who was having a negative impact on my life. I'm not afraid to do it again now that I've done it once.
  • I'm okay with failing earlier on - I don't like it, but I'm okay with it happening, more than before. It doesn't wreck the rest of the ride anymore.

So, right now, that's me. It's all uphill from here and I crave the pain.
